Thrush is a yeast infection caused by the over production of a fungus called Candida. This happens when your immune system is weak or when you are stressed and the good bacteria can’t keep Candida under control.
Symptoms of thrush
Thrush can be uncomfortable and symptoms can differ for different people. Symptoms range from mild to moderate, but can become more complicated in some cases.
- Itching or soreness
- White discharge
- Pain during sex
- Stinging while going to the toilet

If you experience thrush regularly, there are a few things that you can do:
- Avoid using intimate deodorants or perfumed products
- Avoid wearing tight underwear and clothing
- Try to wear cotton or silk underwear
