The Electronic Prescription Service has been introduced by the NHS across England, allowing your GP to send your prescriptions electronically to a nominated pharmacy. Although this has been available since April 2013, in a small number of GP surgeries/pharmacies, there are now a significant number of practices taking part, and pharmacies set up to offer the service.
The service allows GP surgeries to move to a paperless system, which means you can choose where to send your prescription. The benefits of this service are that the pharmacy can get your medication ready before you arrive, you can choose a pharmacy that is convenient to you or our online pharmacy can deliver straight to your door. You will no longer receive a paper prescription, but rest assure that the way your medication is dispensed and how you receive it will remain the same.
