Whether you have tried to quit smoking before or it’s your first time, kicking the habit is a challenge and getting through the first few days can be tough.

Studies show that you’re up to four times more likely to quit smoking successfully if you use a combination of stop smoking medicine and specialist help and support.* That’s why we offer advice and support to help you every step of the way.

What advice can I get to help me quit smoking?

You will be able to discuss your smoking goals with a trained member of staff, who will offer advice on how best to achieve them. We have private consultation rooms available if you wish to chat in private.
Our helpful staff will be able to recommend suitable products such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) as well as advice and support on:

  • Boosting your willpower
  • Avoiding triggers
  • Controlling your cravings
  • Managing withdrawal symptoms

If you have already tried to quit smoking and have not been successful, it may be that you hadn’t found the right approach or products for you. Our Pharmacists can offer tailored advice that suits you and your lifestyle. So make sure you seek help if you feel you need more advice or you are thinking of trying a different method of quitting.

Do I have to pay for this advice?

No, advice about quitting smoking is FREE. Enhanced quit smoking support is available in selected LloydsPharmacy stores offering NHS stop smoking services – this support is also free however you may be required to pay for any NRT prescriptions unless you are exempt.

Do I need to make an appointment?

No appointment is necessary; we are ready in our LloydsPharmacy stores to help you quit smoking at any time.
