That’s right folks; we came up with 5 smoothie hacks that will make you a smoothie making pro.

1. Prepare smoothie packs

Find a freezer bag, which we all have lying around the kitchen, and prepare as much as you can fit in your freezer. Cut all your fruits, separate your greens and grains, chuck it in a bag and freeze it, no more time wasting in the morning getting all your ingredients together! It’s such a good hack we can’t believe we’ve never done this before.

2. Make it the night before

If, you like me, would rather have an extra 10 minutes in bed than prepare your smoothie, then why not prepare it the night before? Make it the night before, pop it in the fridge overnight and in the morning it will be like new, just take it out and enjoy your breakfast!

3. First we add the liquids

This may not seem like a hack but we promise it will make it easier to blend. First you add your liquids then layer it up with your other ingredients, this will make it easier to blend your fruits and vegetables, it will give your blender more room to move around and will reduce the amount of times you need to stop and stir.

4. Ice cube tray

Instead of simply freezing water in your ice cube tray, freeze the liquids you would usually use when making your smoothie, such as coconut water, soya milk, coconut milk and yogurt. Pop it in the freezer and when it comes to the time you want to prepare your smoothie, just effortlessly add a few cubes of your chosen frozen smoothie juices and half the amount of liquid you would normally use. It adds extra flavour and a lovely texture to your smoothie.

5. Buy a better blender

It is likely that you already have a blender or you are thinking about buying one and it is easy to be tempted by cheaper options, but when it comes to blenders you definitely get what you pay for. A stronger blender like a Salter Nutri Vortex, will give you no problems when you’re trying to blend frozen fruits, seeds and nuts, the cleaning is easier. It also has a sleek and compact design, which will definitely fit into any kitchen.
