So this is the end of my second week using FaceD 3-LURONICS cream – and I’m still really liking it! As I mentioned in my last blog, this week has been much quieter so I’ve had more time to notice what’s going on with my skin. Most importantly, I’ve had a few make-up free days so I’ve been able to inspect my skin close up, at different times of day.

Usually, there is no love lost between me and my skin; I often have lots of little blemishes under the surface that look a bit like spots – hence the make up. Consequently my face can feel quite bumpy, and if I get warm, I can get oily patches on my forehead and around my nose. And I normally hate my skin whenever I catch a glimpse of it in a mirror without make up on. But, whilst I’m not claiming that this product is working miracles, it is genuinely improving the look of my skin. A couple of times I’ve done a bit of a double-take, when I’ve passed a mirror, at how much clearer, brighter and even-toned my natural skin looks. It really is making a difference!

Having said before that I don’t really have wrinkles yet, there is one emerging line under my left eye that has been there for a couple of years. Mostly I don’t notice it; it tends to be only visible first thing and fade as the day goes on. I’m not sure yet whether the cream is making a real difference to this line – but I’m going to investigate this more closely in the coming week and report back.

Another thing that has surprised me is how long a tube lasts. At £24.99 it’s not cheap and the tube is quite small. I was worried it would run out within the first few days – I’m being quite generous with it as I find that if you don’t use enough, its ‘gloopy’ consistency means you have to drag it over the skin quite firmly to get the coverage. But two weeks in and there’s no sign of the first tube running out. When it does I’ll have a better idea of value for money…
