Q

I’m a lady in my late 50s and I often find that I can’t control urges to go to the toilet. I’m nervous that I’ll go out one day and have an accident. Is this normal and what can I do?

It sounds like you could be experiencing incontinence, also known as bladder weakness. This is a condition that isn’t often talked about, yet it’s surprisingly common. There are several different types – one of the most common is urge-incontinence, which may be what you are experiencing.

This is when you have an urgent desire to pass urine and sometimes urine leaks before you have time to get to the toilet. It may be due to an overactive bladder so ask our Pharmacist for advice.

We offer a range of discreet incontinence products such as liners, pads or pants which can helpabsorb any leaks you may experience, helping you to avoid any embarrassment. Check out our recommendation below or see our full range at LloydsPharmacy.com
